Now, the Kuat Sherpa is the more budget-friendly of the Kuat lineup. It is lighter and more affordable than, let's say, the Kuat NV. I would prefer the Sherpa if I just had, you know, a normal bicycle, nothing too heavy, not an e-bike, but just your regular mountain bike or trail bike because of all of the nice features it has at half the weight. more

Now, the Kuat transfers one of my favorite bike racks because of how easy it is to mount and dismount your bikes with this goal post design, it has most of the premium features you would expect from a Kuat bike rack, but it is at a more affordable price compared to let's say the Sherpa or the NV. One of the features it has is I can tilt the weight. And what I actually like to do is just put the arms aside, that way I can step all the way towards the inside and step on this lever. more

So let's take a look at the way our bike is mounted to this bike rack. We have two wheel straps for the front as well as the back wheel, and we also have this frame mount. So that frame mount is unique in its design because you can, you have a 360-degree rotation for this mount. more

So this is gonna be a hanging style bike rack that's gonna be great if you wanna take up to four bikes. Maybe you're wanting to take the family out on the trail. Though something to keep in mind whenever it comes to the weight capacity, it's gonna be 150 pounds in total, though, if you're carrying one or two bikes, you can have up to 40 pounds per bike. So let's say you have two 40 pound bikes and then a couple of kids' bikes, you can go along those lines if you wanna get the entire family out on a ride. more

So the Kia K5 has limited options when it comes to bike racks. That's because it uses a class 1 hitch. So if you have a heavier bike, like I have my own women's bike, which is a little bit heavier than a traditional bike rack can handle, this would be the option I'd go with because it has a weight capacity of 45 pounds per bike. So, this is gonna be a very decent way of going ahead and loading up your four bikes, and getting it to the trails for you. Now, I will say this bike rack tends itself more to a family-style entrust. Why is that Well, as you guys can see, we have a nice little tapered arm end here. So, this is your traditional two pole design to go ahead and hold onto your two back bikes of course, giving you really good stability so your bike isn't oscillating back and forth. And we actually do have some nice anti-sway cradles on here as well. more

Hi, everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer. And today, we'll be taking a look at our Kuat Sherpa 2.0 two-bike platform rack, right here on our 2022 Kia Telluride. So the Kuat Sherpa is your middle-of-the-road bike rack with all the premium features you would expect from Kuat. So you can't expand it like the Kuat NV, you don't have as much weight capacity like the Kuat NV, but you still have slightly more weight capacity than your average bike rack, plus you have your carbon frame capacity and you can tilt away to access your hatch. So let's take a look at that. So we have a very easy access lever right over here, and you're gonna want to pull that lever and then just let the Sherpa drop to a tilt. more

Hey Kia owners, Dustin here at etrailer.com. And today on our 2022 Kia Telluride, we're going to be taking a look at the Swagman XC2 bike rack. The Swagman XC2 bike rack is a platform style bike rack that holds your bike in place by putting pressure on your top two into the included wheel cradles. Now, for that reason, we don't recommend it for carbon fiber bikes, because there is frame contact, but for all your other bikes, it's going to be an excellent choice to get your two bikes down the road. Now, as opposed to your standard trace the owl we do have these hoops and owning to the fact that your round the tire obviously, it's going to work with many size tires because you don't allow that tire to sink down just as far as it needs to support it. And it is getting that support from the down pressure. more

Now we are looking at the one bike version here today, but this is also available in a two bike version, and you can even get a one bike extension if you do buy the one and decide later that you'd like to add another. Our rack is going to work with one and a quarter inch hitches and two inch hitches. So not only is it going to work on your Seltos, but it might work on another vehicle you have or even a friend's vehicle if you're taking a road trip. And this is one of my favorite racks, I like how light and easy it is to move around, but probably the best feature is that we're going to have no contact with our frame. more

Today, we're using it on an inch and a quarter hitch but this rack also works with two inch hitches. So, if you have another vehicle this rack is probably gonna work for it. This is gonna be a really good entry level rack, especially with it being able to carry 4 bikes. So this bike rack is amazing at being very light, it's very small, so it's very easy to store as well. And if you want to, you can keep it in the back of your Kia Sorento and use it for when you want to carry your bikes to have a nice bike ride. The way our bikes are mounted to this bike rack is by one, two wheel straps, and this free mount over here. The free mount itself, I really like, since it has this 360 range of movement so you can move it up, down, left, right, and around, whatever you need to do to get the best fit on the frame of your bicycle. more

Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2020 Kia Sorento- Video
Hi everyone, It's Evangaline here etrailer.com. And today we are looking at our Kuat NV 2.0 base version here on our 2020 Kia Sorento. So this is an awesome bike rack if you are looking for something that has all the nice premium features, very easy to use, very easy to mount and dismount your bike, and has the weight capacity for maybe your heavier electric bikes. This also has the version that has the repair stand and that comes in metallic black and gunmetal gray as well. One of the features this has is that it can tilt away, and to do so, you just pull this lever right over here and that allows you to tip it down and you'll want to do this if you want to access your hatch. See here how there's plenty of space between our door and our bike, that allows us to get into our hatch when you put things away, grab your groceries or your bike helmet and equipment, without having to take your bike off. more
